Daisy ("the App") is operated by PMP Labs, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal information of our users, many of whom are seniors. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name, location, and hobbies. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email you choose to share.
Conversations: Messages you exchange with AI companions are stored so that your companion can remember past conversations and provide a personal experience.
Mood check-ins: If you use the mood check-in feature, your mood selections are stored to help companions be more empathetic and emotionally attuned.
Memory and facts: We extract key facts from your conversations (e.g., family member names, hobbies you mention) to help companions remember you. These are stored both in our database and with our memory provider (Mem0).
Subscription and payment: Apple handles all payment processing. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and transaction identifiers but never see your payment method or billing details.
Device tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to send you messages from your companions.
Analytics: We collect anonymous usage analytics (via PostHog) to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. This includes events like app opens, feature usage, and error reports. We do not track individual conversations or message content in analytics.
Companion responses are generated by an AI language model (currently Google Gemini) via OpenRouter. Your messages are sent to this service to generate responses. We do not send your name, email, or account information to the AI model — only the conversation content needed to generate a reply.
Conversation memories are processed by Mem0, a memory service that helps companions recall relevant past details. Mem0 stores memory entries associated with anonymized user and conversation identifiers.
Analytics are processed by PostHog. No conversation content is sent to PostHog.
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted in West US / Oregon) with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to user data is protected by Row Level Security — each user can only access their own data. Our admin access uses authenticated, role-restricted endpoints.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If your trial expires and you do not subscribe, your data is preserved in case you return. Older conversation messages may be summarized and the originals removed to manage storage, but the summaries preserve the relationship context.

Daisy is designed for adults, particularly seniors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
